Beginner Question about Signal Generator #239

I'm wondering if the Signal Generator FAP starts sending/toggling the selected GPIO pin as soon as I enter the FAP and select one of the generator modes?

If not as suggested above how is it triggered?

As soon as you open PWM or Clock menu
