bugs:

• [x] can't navigate to profiles from the friends list any more
• [x] seemingly randomly, pages throw 502 errors and don't load. refreshing fixes them
  • the logout page errors most consistently and refreshing does not fix it sometimes fixes it (you do get logged out though)

  • "had your chat window open" -> even if they're logged out, if they didn't explicitly close it last time they were on, they'll be greeted next login with a nonfunctional chat window
• [ ] sometimes chat windows display "username@chat.rovrapp.com" instead of "display name"
