consider refactoring process termination logic #128

Currently gtest calls exit(), _exit(), and abort() in various places. 
Consider an abstraction layer such that we only have to edit one place if
we want to change the process termination strategy.

We don't have resources for this proactive action.  We'll wait until the next 
time we 
need to work on the process termination logic to do the refactoring. Before 
that 
happens, we don't need this reminder to waste our bandwidth.
