Lego EV3 Micropython - Bluetooth issues #7

Lots of Bluetooth problems with the EV3 brick today, even with new batteries (using a Retail EV3 brick with new Duracell batteries)

Giving up on Bluetooth - wasted most of today's session with the kids troubleshooting Bluetooth, and trying to reconnect the EV3 brick, even with new batteries, and moving the laptop closer to the Challenge Mat. Part of the problem is likely because we are using an older laptop (HP Elitebook 8460p).

Purchased a WIFI dongle (Edimax N150 - WiFi Nano USB Adapter) - works like a charm. Will monitor battery usage - read some posts stating that it uses much more battery than Bluetooth…

Could have probably solved some of our issues with Bluetooth by moving the robot closer to laptop every time we wanted to download onto the brick.

Having said that, WIFI dongle works really well - no connectivity issues, and ran the robot for two 3+ hour sessions using our new rechargeable batteries (not the Lego battery pack) and still had lots of power left.
