It should be mentioned that this project is based on a PCB with silkscreen markings "TT-SD2.2", which seems to be a TaoTao hoverboard controller.
I have two of these, one 6.5" Cool&Fun and an 8" "M110".
The former has water damage on the primary control board and fries the high-side switch of phase A. It seems I'll have to dig through the conformal coating to measure whether the drivers or the sensing or even the MCU is defective...
