Another idea:
How long would this API take?
I think saying "HEy you can use your heroes in other games or sell them in marketplaces" is interesting. At the same time I want to question how much this can increase demand for cards and minting. At the moment there's no other game in the horizon and I'm guessing each NFT platform that's getting built in the next 2-3 months would integrate secretHeroes
The main part would be getting the visuals out of the game. So what I envision here would be a piece of typescript code that has the queries to ask for owned heroes and then return them in a well formatted matter. Additional there would be an endpoint where I could send the 4 skill values and receive back a 2d image of the hero (potentially with the option to receive a head- or full body shot) All in all I think it would 5-10 hours work maybe.
It sounds like this API work (query + visualization) will also help with card upgrade process (choosing which heroes to burn and apply to improve what card). If my understanding is correct, this sounds like a no-brainer
Improving How to Play: Providing more explanation of how the game works and how to start playing, both on the website and in-context of the game
Adding FAQ page: Answering common questions asked in SH discord & telegram, including instructions on how to troubleshoot common issues
Final v1 feature list:
upgrade cards: we are going to upgrade the base values. 1) @floAr will run the numbers on the algo. to make sure heroes don't get super powerful 2) UI: Selecting cards to burn and upgrade from a list. We want to communicate the potential outcomes when burning a card to improve a card. We are doing on Unity - @floAr will work on this. This will be a new room 3) Contract: You burn 2 heroes to upgrade 1. @floAr is to finalize the algo and @baedrik to implement the contract
Arena contract: half of purchased card fees go to the tournament contract + anyone can donate SCRT to the tournament 1) UI: Let's make all battles -> arena. We want to add a countdown and the prize pool on the battle screen @johnbrodish to add to figmas - will be outside of the unity. We will show a tournament leaderboard under leaderboard (will ask sandy to look into leaderboard dev. @baedrik to provide the queries for tournament leaderboard) 2) Contract: will have a timestamp on when the tourney ends + send 1/2 of minting income to the arena contract + allow donations to the arena contract
Premium heroes: change the algorithm to min3(100). 1) UI: Will be minted in unity, we give ppl 2 options to chose from - @floAr 2) Contract: @baedrik will add the new contract
How to play and FAQ pages 1) UI Design: @johnbrodish to put together. This will be a new tab on secrethero.es 2) Front-end development: Sandy will work on this
