Describe the Bug

Bookmarks default sort seems to be by id ascending, which shows kinda outdated data. We need to scroll all the way down since there's no way to reverse the order or to change it for lastly added.

Expected Behavior

App should start with the last selected sort order, which is another issue (cannot easily crossref from mobile yet).

But when not specified, that is to say "by default", it should at least be sorting bookmarks by last added (ie by id descending).

Default sort by last added would allow to quickly check last bookmarks saved (kinda cache effect).

This would be pretty useful when we encounter regular sync problem, for example, but as well just to remember the last cool think we've just saved.

By the way, allow reversing the sort order would be nice.

To Reproduce

Start the app, choose an account with a lot of bookmarks, scroll a lot to find the last one saved.

Debug log (NOT) provided

I have NOT provided a debug log file

Many thanks

I'm mostly using this app instead of Nextcloud's default Bookmark app which I find slow and buggy. So, thank you very much.

Hello

Thank you for taking the time to open this issue with floccus. I know it's frustrating when software causes problems. You have made the right choice to come here and open an issue to make sure your problem gets looked at and if possible solved. I'm Marcel and I created floccus and have been maintaining it ever since. I currently work for Nextcloud which leaves me with less time for side projects like this one than I used to have. I still try to answer all issues and if possible fix all bugs here, but it sometimes takes a while until I get to it. Until then, please be patient. Note also that GitHub is a place where people meet to make software better together. Nobody here is under any obligation to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can collaborate to make this software better. For everyone. Thus, if you can, you could also have a look at other issues to see whether you can help other people with your knowledge and experience. If you have coding experience it would also be awesome if you could step up to dive into the code and try to fix the odd bug yourself. Everyone will be thankful for extra helping hands! One last word: If you feel, at any point, like you need to vent, this is not the place for it; you can go to the forum, to twitter or somewhere else. But this is a technical issue tracker, so please make sure to focus on the tech and keep your opinions to yourself.

I look forward to working with you on this issue Cheers :blue_heart:

Thanks for taking time to answer on so many points. It took me time to understand what was wrong with my issue.

I apologize for putting you in a situation which you have to explain, and making you loose your time. Sarcasm has no place here, even without bad intentions. I've edited the issue and removed silly things about coffee.

I thought reversing the order would've been a quickwin.

But let's be honest, I can't be very helpful.

Sorry for extending the issue queue with supposed-to-be good ideas. Or maybe that's still a good idea.

By the way, I truely love Nextcloud.

Best regards
