How to get into uboot-mode? #1

Hi, I try to get docker running on my ds414 (armv7l). Requirement is a running Linux kernel version 3.10 or higher

Which brings me to here: How did you get to the uboot-mode? Were you able to trigger another kernel to boot?

Thanks.

I had to solder a serial to the board. Should be similar to here.

However, it seems you need to completely replace the current operating system, as Synology doesn't support Docker on arm. Be careful not to brick your bootloader, as saveenv doesn't seem to work.

I however did not try that out, and don't own the device anymore, so can't really help with that…
