Bugfix: minimum pint version #108

This PR addresses the issue that the pint library has changed by fixing the minimum pint version to 0.20. This changes the code to respect the changes in pint. Also fixes pylint and mypy issues raised because of changes in their defaults. Also fixes issue #106

Is a replacement for PR #107
