typesetting units #15

I have changed the way units are typeset, but this needs fixing.

Currently, I do:

some text and then a measurement of $12\,\text{cm}$, i.e. twelve centimeters.

This produces compilation errors even though the final pdf is produced. If anyone is quicker than me, feel free to look for a way to typeset numbers with units.

https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Special_Characters suggests the siunitx package. I used that for now. Note that overleaf (similar to my fc33 box) uses siunitx 2.8! Took me sometime to figure that out and adapt the syntax accordingly.
