Server password support #13

Closed mutru closed 11 years ago

It should be possible to bypass the NickServ authentication by sending an optional server password. This would make reconnecting a lot easier.

Implemented.

I know this is implemented, but I am facing the following:

  1. I am connected via Google
  2. I have set a server password
  3. I use Colloquy, and in my connection dialog, I have set my username to my email address, as well as set a server password (as mentioned above)
  4. I I have set my username (for IRC) the same as my flow dock username (Ingo), and re-entered my server password.

I still get asked to re-authenticate on logging in. What might I be missing?

The server password should be set to "your@email.address flowdock_password" - the username isn't taken into account. Does it work then?

ingo commented 10 years ago

Yep. I guess my reading comprehension failed there. Thanks! I also had trouble setting a server password that long in Colloquy, but Textual seemed to work. Not sure if others have encountered the same.
