What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Downloading 0.8.5 installer from 'Featured Download'
2. Installing 0.8.5 normally
3. Running the program.

What is the expected output? For the program to run normally.

What do you see instead? An error message - 'Witty has encountered an
unexpected error. Please restart Witty.'

What version of the product are you using? 0.8.5

On what operating system? Windows XP Pro with with full updates

Please provide any additional information below. Restarting Witty does not
solve the problem. Redownloading the installer and doing a clean install
does not solve the problem.

I had this problem as well on the 32bit version of Vista Business Edition. This
was
after installing from the "install Witty via ClickOnce" link.

I then uninstalled and installed afresh the "Setup-Witty-1.9.0.exe" from the
Featured
Downloads section. This application informed me that I required .net Framework
3.5.

I thought I already had this, but I ran an installer I already had anyway. This
was
the full redistributable version which includes previous frameworks and
patches. This
can be downloaded from the following:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/0/f/60fc5854-3cb8-4892-b6db-
bd4f42510f28/dotnetfx35.exe

I then ran the "install Witty via ClickOnce" installer again and it then worked
fine.

I hope this helps!
