What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installed 0.1.8 Beta 1
2. Open and try to login

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to login but got the error above instead - screenshot attached

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.1.8 Beta 1 on Windows XP SP2

Please provide any additional information below.
I use TwitterFox on Firefox and it works fine. I am behind a proxy server
that requires normal active directory authentication to get outside the
network the same as proxy settings in the browser. Perhaps Witty is not
using the auth mechanism to get out of the network like the browser does?

Try entering your Active Directory credentials in the proxy configuration
section of
Witty. Use the DOMAIN\USERNAME format.

(After re-reading your original issue, I'm left wondering if you configured a
proxy
within Witty at all. It will not pick up a proxy server configured in Firefox
or
Internet Explorer automatically).

Yes I've configured the proxy settings. I suspect it has something to do with
NTLM
authentication not being passed through.

Just tested again with version 1.9 and it works just fine.
