Witty registers with Snarl but no notifications are shown #188

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I installed snarl and saw that Witty uses it. When I start witty it
registers with Snarl but no notifications are shown from there on. When I
close Witty it un-registers itself from snarl correctly.
Other snarl applications are working (FireSnarl, i.e.).

Did you install the Lemon during the Snarl setup too? If so you find in
K23productions->melon->Lemon

Could you start it, then try to get some notifications (they are only shown if
Witty is _not_ the active window)
and give me the output you get within Lemon? Thanks

I sent witty to the tray and posted some updated on the twitter home. That
usually
pops a notification. Also, when I start Witty it shows a summary of messages
received
that are not being showed. To test, I quit snarl and started witty again and all
bubble notifications showed up.

Clear startup of Snarl + Witty right after:

OK, I think I see the problem (it's the sender which is #000000 which it
shouldn't be
- just trying to debug and finding the cause nwo

Hi, having digged very deep into the source I am not sure why it is working for
me
and not for you.

Could you tell me your setup (most important the Operating version and if 32/64
bit
and the Snarl version you are using)

Many thanks for your help and patience

Found a much cleaner way to interact with Snarl (plus the bonux I could now
react on
clicks on notifications - now I have to think in which way I would like to
react ;))
I made a new binary and attached it to this post. Could you please download and
extract the attachment to this post and try it with this version? Thanks
