Repeated popup message on communication errors

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Disconnect from the network or specify an non existing proxy server
2. Let it be

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect some kind of status or status message. Instead, I get a 
popup on every attempt to connect.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0.0.0

Please provide any additional information below.
How about a status with the last error message if an error occurred?
