list2buf error could be more helpful #177

a student in a workshop pointed at how great is our feedback of error in general, and was surprised that list2buf with a wrong @destination didn't get any useful feedback. it is just a red error.

Seen this a bit too but it looks like the error we expect to see is accounted for in the code.
