So, considering the way the game handles animals from caretaking missions, and my unfortunate sudden -16 to the empire, i figured i'd post this for others to take heed.
WARNING: This mod makes no distinction between your own animals and those of the empire and will happily order your colonists to butcher any animals that arrive on those caretaking missions that put you over your managed limits.
