MacFUSE chapter (11) at http://macosxbook.com/book/bonus/chapter11/macfuse/ (seeking Amit's PDFs) #261

http://macosxbook.com/book/bonus/chapter11/macfuse/ empty at the moment, is
that intended? (Revisions in
progress, I assume.)

After reading <http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/issues/detail?id=252> I was
reminded of Amit's PDFs, some of
which I found extremely useful ... in particular, the presentations that gave
an impression of how *many* FUSE-based
file systems exist, and that offered above- and below-the-line views of user
space, kernel etc..

Were those presentations previously at or around
http://macosxbook.com/book/bonus/chapter11/macfuse/ ?

Thanks
Graham

PDFs and other written content aside, the spoken explanations of MacFUSE (and
of file systems and operating systems
in general) were most enlightening, I should have liked to listen to them far
sooner than I did.

I don't suppose we can expect the 'average' user of MacFUSE (or MacFusion) to
listen to such material, a pity.

Somehow that page got clobbered. Fixed.

Thanks for the fix.

In addition to

> Slides from the file systems talk I gave at Macworld 2007

was there ... another presentation/PDF that included some/many of the same
slides?

(Older? Newer? Beyond the 'Mac OS X Internals' site? I have an image of this
presentation niggling at the
back of my mind. Older/archived materials sometimes contain gems of simplicity
that are lost/blurred as
projects become more complex.)

Not really an issue, I'm just curious.
