Mounted volumes do not appear in leopard's finder (left bar)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch sshfs or spotlightfs on leopard
2. Mount volume
3. Check in /Volumes and in the finder.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Volume should be accessible in the left bar of the finder (ex : in the devices 
section, or in the 
network section)
Instead, nothing shows up in the finder.
It is then impossible to unmount/eject the volume through the finder. (since 
there is no icon)
However, the volume is accessible in /Volumes

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
MacFUSE Core 10.5 1.0.0
OSX 10.5 Leopard
sshfs 1.0.0 or spotlightfs
