autokey entry causes kontact to crash #287

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. create a new message
2. type an autokey phrase

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I can see the beginning of the expected result, but after a few characters ony 
bogus follows.
I can close that window, but opening a new message window makes kontact crash 
(grey screen).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ubuntu 14.04, kontact 4.13.3
Didnt happen in ubuntu 12.04, kontact 4.8

Please provide any additional information below.
This happens only with kontact - not with gedit, libreoffice, inkscape text 
editor....

I get problems with autokey on ubuntu 1404. They happen in kate and Rstudio. 
Could this be a bug related to kate? I think Rstudio may be based on kate as 
text editor, and maybe kontact too?

Me too - kate, kde control module, keepass2.

Checked it with the calligra suite from kde. All they are suffering from the 
same problem!
