Future of this Plugin - Flutter MapBox GL #1201

This Flutter plugin depends on the older version of MapBox which will be deprecated soon.

Currently Used - MapBox - Android v9 https://docs.mapbox.com/android/legacy/maps/guides/ https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-gl-native-android

New - MapBox - Android v10 https://docs.mapbox.com/android/maps/guides/

Mapbox Maps SDK for Android

Mapbox Maps SDK v10 is now available at mapbox/mapbox-maps-android. v10 offers superior performance, features, and developer experience, and is the recommended mobile SDK solution for all Mapbox customers.

Mapbox maintains this repo to address bug fixes and security vulnerabilities. Please note that this project will cease to receive updates, including compatibility and bug fixes, after April 4, 2023.

  1. Any community members or developers are open to maintaining and contributing to this major upgrade?

  2. Is there any developer/team/community/product team/agency that is interested to fund/support the maintenance and upgrade?
