Discussion: flutter_wear_plugin maintainer

I would like to help maintain the flutter_wear_plugin.

Summary

The package hasn't seen an update in 20 months. It currently has 8 open issues, and 10 pull requests. Some of which are just version changes to keep it working nicely with others. I would like to be added as a maintainer of this package so that I can keep it fresh and working.

@slightfoot @mhadaily I think we can pretty easily transfer this over considering how inactive the maintainer ha sheen on the package.

It's a good idea; my only concern is our capacity to handle more packages; as of now, even some of our packages are not well-maintained, and we need more maintainers, which is hard to find. I am working on a new program to encourage more developers to step in and help us, hopefully, but that will be next year.

@mhadaily, apologies if I misunderstood your comment. I think we want the same thing. This package is already under the community umbrella. I wish to step in and help maintain it.

I misunderstood your comment. Now I can understand. No worries; it would be nice to onboard you as a maintainer. It's always nice to have more contributors. I have sent you my calendar, let's have a call together, and I will try to help to onboard you to he package. Please check your email.
