Consider implementing Loomio style consensus-based governance tools #35

Loomio is an open-source tool for decentralized, consensus-based decision-making. It would be cool if similar tools could be implemented directly into Junto, so that groups can formalize the process of making proposals and decisions with each other.

Hi @TheyBrooks. Thanks for posting your issues. It's awesome to see people come together with us to try and pave the way for a new digital social toolkit. It's with your input that we can make something truly powerful. Thanks for bringing Loomio to my attention, I hadn’t seen this project before. Implementing powerful decision making/organisation tools into Junto is definitely something we look to do going forward. One of the best things about Holochain is the ability to bridge applications. This mean essentially bridging other applications features into yours to be used in your own application’s context. We suspect that as Holochain builds more momentum and the application eco system starts to grow we will see these kind of projects within Holochain. Once this happens and an established decision/management tool emerges we will bridge their features into our network to be used within Groups and Communities. We may also consider the possibility of having a “decision” expression within a public context in Junto so that people can build proposals and work together to fix problems we see in the world.

If we have built a stable version of Junto with our current (v1) feature set fully built out and there exists no tools like Loomio on holochain; we would probably start to build out our own implementation.
