Style the homepage and login page #29

In preparation for the upcoming release we need to style the homepage and login page

I mentioned this one in my commit but I guess it didn't link. The login page is complete but dashboard could use something simple, such as: "here's how to use this site .... go to this button or use this search bar for ....." let me know if you want me to tackle the dashboard b4 release.
