It would be nice to have this feature to download all the bookmarks in a single file.

I am looking since a long time for a script, which (basically stated)

downloads all bookmarks in time-sorted sequence
creates an index.html as a start page
makes the bookmarks "offline" available
including all media content, especially all images
including (optionally) videos (we could call youtube-dl to download media locally)

+1 for this. And/or JSON of course.

Side note: totally surprised me that bookmarks are apparently not part of Twitter's takeout zip!? (the takeout is otherwise formatted as a reasonable home page, not just an xml blob)

We can simple add download json. Is that solve part of the issue? Anyway you can explore network activity and find bookmarks request and save the response
