Mod Version

Standalone stable V.0.6.0 via the installer
Standalone Dev. version b193335 via the installer

Describe the bug

Stuck at loading screen after selecting either the stable, or dev. version (both tested seperate, with system reboot inbetween) The loading bar is moving forward very very slowly until almost full (takes about 20 min. to get there. When at the end, nothing happens. stuck. No liveries, or any other content in the community folder ! -> double checked, can conform it´s empty (except the FBW mod of course

To Reproduce

  1. Select either stable, or dev. version, after MSFS update 1.15.8.0
  2. Go flying
  3. Stuck on the loading screen

Additional context

MSFS V. 1.15.8.0 Win 10, 2004 Build 19041.928 FBW stable installer V.0.6.0, or dev. b193335

Sim is starting Asobo Airbus/ any other plane without issues.

Is this a problem in the vanilla unmodded game? Seems not to be

I'm having a similar problem. Both Stable and Development versions work fine. However, the Experimental version crashes my simulator nearly at the end of the loading screen.

Jack737800 commented 3 years ago

EDIT: Cause I do not have other things to do...I just let the sim run and here you go! After just 35 min. of loading time I got a running V. 0.6.0 in the sim....

I will change the Title to: Extreme long loading time

Similar problem here, I can't load any version of the aircraft. Nearly at the end of the loading screen, game will CTD with no error message. Community folder is empty apart from A32NX.

Very long loading time is common because MSFS has to compile the WASM modules for the aircraft, which is very slow.

Can you check if it happens as well the second time @Jack737800 ? If it doesn't I will close the issue as an MSFS problem.

@Jkaled777 @pipejaraara While this is not related to long loading times, can you try without anything else in the Community folder?

On my part it seems not to be a problem with A32NX. Im kind of certain my entire MSFS got currupted after I did some mayor upgrades to my PC yestarday. For some reason the game ran at first, then I did a Steam "verify inegrity of game files" and the entire game got deleted. Re downloading as we speak.

@Benjozork After shutting down the sim for dinner :D I´m in the same situation at the moment it´s loading very very slowly. What I can do next, is to just wait until the plane has loaded, cancel the flight and try it one more time, without shutting down the sim. Please get some minutes....takes a while until all is loaded

EDIT: This time it was way faster ! Didn´t expect that, so I don´t have an exact timing, but I would say less then 5 min.

Cheers

When you don't update the WASM don't need to be recompiled. So expect long loading times after an update of the experimental version. In between it should be much faster.

mrctll commented 3 years ago

For me, the loading time is over 9 minutes. A little too much, here we need to change jobs !!! :D :D :D

Benjozork commented 3 years ago

This is an MSFS design limitation
