flyPad Web Server #6978

Aircraft Version

Experimental

Description

I think it would be absolutely incredible if you could use the flyPad EFB on a mobile/tablet device just like you can with the MCDU. That would be an absolute killer feature. I'd probably even buy a cheap tablet for this purpose.

References (optional)

As the MCDU can be used on a mobile/tablet device via a server, it would be incredible if you could implement the same system for the flyPad EFB.

This is great and in my opinion is actually even more important than the web interface for the MCDU.

How is the progress going after all this time? Still in development?

Benjozork commented 2 years ago

Yes.

MStallen commented 2 years ago

29 March, we saw a picture that the Flypad was remote on a tablet, but I still don't see any progress. Are they still working on it?

Benjozork commented 2 years ago

I've been busy with other things. It's still coming

MStallen commented 1 year ago

Any updates for this?

dadude86 commented 1 year ago

any news about the flypad web implementation? Is there any way to support you?

MStallen commented 1 year ago

Is this a still living issue. Would be a perfect feature

Hello, I'm one of the developers of Talking Flight Monitor. This is an add-on for MSFS and P3D that allows a totally blind person to enjoy flight simulation. We presented at fS Expo last weekend. We are looking at adding the FBW aircraft to our supported aircraft, since the only fully supported aircraft currently is the PMDG 737. Access to the EFB externally is a critical step to getting this working for our users, since we need a way of extracting the text from the EFB. We can already do this with the CDU, thanks to the websocket. We already have a screen reader accessible CDU proof of concept working. I'm not concerned about purely visual data like maps and charts, but the ability to adjust aircraft settings such as simbrief, fuel and payload, etc. is a must have. If anyone can help move this issue forward, that would be amazing!

Still on top of my wishlist.

As above, this is one of my most desired things personally, as this seems to have been in limbo for well over a year is there any update?

k0deine commented 1 year ago

Would be a great functionality for home cockpit builders!

Still no update?

@Benjozork is there any update on this? Would love to see this as a feature!
