Describe the bug

In VR, when trying to populate numbers / letters in the MFD, the keyboard in the center pedestal becomes "transparent" (the controller ray goes straight through the letters/numbers, and they are not clickable). What seems to me that randomly they will become usable again but if I enter data, click enter, and go to another field in the MFD page, the keyboard will become transparent again.

Expected behavior

The keyboard should always be available to click on letters and numbers. in VR, this is the only way to enter data (and it is simulating the actual behavior in the cockpit).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to perf page
  2. Click on a field, i.e. zfw or block fuel
  3. Try to enter digits from the keyboard in the pedestal
  4. In most cases, the VR controller ray will go straight through the keyboard and you won't be able to enter any digit

Additional info (optional)

In general, this cockpit in VR seems "transparent" as the controller ray seems to continue beyond the cockpit materials. Will appreciate if you can me the cockpit (and keyboard) behave as a solid and not let the rays go through.

Hey! Thank you for the report, could you record a video of this happening as well? I'd help diagnose, thank you!

Hi, not the best quality (sorry, first time recording from VR, image seems a bit blurry and distant compared to how it looks through the goggles). Link to the video: https://vimeo.com/1025472076?share=copy#t=0 Hope my voice explains the issue.

More details: Looks like any time a field is selected in the MFD with the VR controller, there is roughly 30sec period where no other switch/knob/etc. is selectable by the VR controllers. This 30sec is pretty consistent. One workaround I found is clicking on something in the EFB will reset this timeout/time issue and the keys are clickable again. I hope it will help solving this issue as it affects all VR pilots.

Was about to report the same, once the insert fields selected, the keypad becomes usable only with the left eye in focus.
