Broadcast over 3G network (to a specific IP/Dynamic DNS) #59

Could this be made to send the Growl notification over 3G?

It would have to be to a static IP address or to a dynamic DNS such as no-ip,
etc which is free and easy to set up on for the host computer? Would there be
any problems doing this that I'm just not aware of?

This would be convenient because bluetooth and wifi both take up battery, and
require one to be on the same network (or paired on bluetooth). Wifi also
requires (sometimes) that you control the router, but if you are, say, at the
airport, in the office or in college you can't do that. Bluetooth requires
proximity.

Thanks

This already wroks in 0.2.4 - just input your external IP or dynamic dns
hostname as a custom destination for the IP method, and if you're using behind
a router/NAT make sure it forwards port 10600 to the machine where you want the
notifications delivered (if the machine has a public IP then it should just
work, check your firewall settings too).
