[FlyteCTL Feature] Be more resilient to config endpoint strings #2981

Open katrogan opened 1 year ago

katrogan commented 1 year ago

Describe the feature/command for FlyteCTL

Flytectl currently expects the host endpoint in the config to be precisely of the format dns:///myflyte.com This is fairly brittle (e.g. trailing slashes aren't stripped) and leads to hard to determine errors

Provide a possible output or UX example

flytectl config options should be more resilient to common user-error patterns
