alerts after triggering #288

when a alert occours it then sleeps for 60 secs, but then starts checking master log file at the next entry. it needs to move the master position forward 60sec also

commited, leave the issue open for a week or so while its being dog-fooded on the system in the colo

resolved, disk space messages stop after freeing up space
