For Linux, a user said "it would be great if like in dolphin or PCManFM we could write smb://10.0.0.20 and have access to the remote share."

Hi, this feature it's becoming more and more relevant (at least for me) Any idea if this is going to be addressed soon?

No immediate plans, I'm afraid. Maybe you could implement it yourself as a plugin?
