perhaps your problem is similar to
http://code.google.com/p/fme-alfresco-extensions/issues/detail?id=23
I'll take a look into the usage of the module in 4.x & custom datalists in some
weeks.
Please feel free to contact alfresco (at) fme.de if you'd like to purchase
professional services to solve your problem before.
cheers, jan

I went ahead and looked at the referenced problem ID and was able to get custom
datalists to show in the fme extension. Thanks for the pointer. Did notice a
couple things that do not appear to come through. Versioning and view item do
not appear to work with custom datalists. I'd imagine that details for custom
datalists need to added to an additional files within the jars. Is this the
case. Also comment threads are not working in either custom or existing
datalists though. Is there a simple way to return comments to the factory
default type of field?
Are you guys able to provide professional services to people using community?
Another Alfresco partner said they couldn't work with us.

Hi,
as far as In know the comments aren't working in 4.x because a policy is not
registered correctly. Pls notice that the module is not official 4.x compliant.
Yub, you'll need to define the forms for your custom datalist, you may use this
as template/master:
http://code.google.com/p/fme-alfresco-extensions/source/browse/branches/pre-4.x/
fme%20extended%20Datalist%20-%20Share/config/alfresco/web-extension/fme-extended
-datalist-config-custom.xml
No, as we're an official Alfresco Platinum Partner we're not allowed to provide
professional services for people using community.

Hey there Jan,
You mentioned that comments may not be working in 4.0 because policy is not
registered correctly. Do you have any detail on the policy and what may be
done to get it registered properly? I know the feature isn't officially 4.0
compliant and appreciate any insight you may be able to provide. Thanks jason
