IMPORTANT: Before filing a new bug report, check the existing bugs in this
issue tracker to ensure it has not already been entered. If it has, simply
star that bug and leave an optional comment. If you create a duplicate,
it just makes it harder to track how many people are encountering a
potential bug.

NOTE: Please read the above IMPORTANT message before continuing.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go here to install plugin
https://www.google.com/earth/explore/products/plugin.html
2. Refresh https://www.google.com/earth/explore/products/plugin.html to test
plugin
3.

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the plugin showing a usable map of the world. Instead, I get
"To view maps in 3D you need the Google Earth Plugin" as if the page does not
know the plugin is installed. Other code using the API generates error code
ERR_CREATE_PLUGIN.

Which plugin version are you using?
Impossible to say since it does not load in the browser so you can't call the
API to check the version. Should be latest, though, since that is what this
page https://www.google.com/earth/explore/products/plugin.html should try to
install.

Which browsers and operating systems are affected?
Chrome Version 39.0.2171.65 (64-bit) on OSX 10.10.1

Please provide any additional information (code snippets/links) below.

I am an enterprise customer and I have posted support ticket on this

It seams that Google has unofficially decided to depreciate the Earth API
without officially telling anyone, the advice given so far has been to have
users revert to an older version of chrome. Or switch browsers

Windows Chrome 64-bit user will have the same issue.

For Windows users using Google Chrome 32-bit, the Earth API is only supported
up to Chrome rev-35
https://developers.google.com/earth/documentation/index#installing_the_google_ea
rth_plugin

The response so far on my ticket was that chrome support officially ended for
Chrome rev 37 for both Windows and Mac
