Elevation Gain statistic incorrectly adds starting altitude to tal elevation gain #1556

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to a location that is above sea level.
2. Begin to record a track.
3. Do not move and stop recording that track immediately.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output: Elevation Gain: 0.

Actual output: Elevation Gain equal to starting altitude, as if you had just
climbed here from sea level. Activating GPS and letting the device find its
position before recording (i.e. between 1. and 2.) does not help this issue.

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?

My Tracks 2.0.7, Android 4.4.4, Nexus 5.

If possible please provide a log by uploading here.

Please provide any additional information here:
This may not be an issue in Mountain View, CA, but for those of us who live at
higher elevations, it makes for incorrect stats. :-) Must say, overall great
job with this app, though!

Sorry. Subject line should say:

"Elevation Gain statistic incorrectly adds starting altitude to total elevation
gain". Can't seem to find a way to correct.
