I have opted so far not to do this to keep the menu uncluttered. I've found that after changing the settings once, I never have to do it again, so having an "options" item in the menu seemed unnecessary (I would never use it). The default settings should be fine for most people, too. I can, though, make this optional (the same way as the "quit" menu item).
"I can, though, make this optional (the same way as the "quit" menu item)." yes, please, let the people the choice ;-)
Thanks.

Ok. I've done it. It's going to be available in the 0.5.6 version from the PPA.
Still, there is no way the users are going to know about that keyboard shortcut for configuring Pastie. A way to let them know should be implemented (maybe open that dialog on first run and make it clear that it can only be accessed by using a keyboard shortcut if they don't enable it).
I'm going to make pastie show the preferences menu item by default from the next release. I've been to picky about this, but of course I'm a minority here. After all, I know the program by heart, and that skews my opinions somewhat. :)
Why I have to do a keyboard shortcut to obtain "Options" menu? It will be more user friendly to add an "Options" in Pastie menu, for example under "Clean History".
