I installed the plug in but it's not showing up in the list to export to webm. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Responding to an old issue for future reference: either upgrade Adobe or downgrade WebM install version.

v1.1.0 (June 2017) doesn't successfully install on CS6 under Windows 10 for me but v1.0.3 (October 2016) does. People can head over to the Wayback Machine and search for www.fnordware.com/WebM/ to browse for pages with dates prior to June 2017 where the download links point to earlier versions of the WebM installer.

CS6 is very old so it's probably unreasonable to expect a fix, Premiere logs point to Windows registry issues but adding entries manually didn't work for me and realising the client's successful install I was renewing was from late 2016 I checked versions, tried an older one and achieved hero status!

Hey there first post here. I had the same proble. I think i figured out a fix for CS6 with the new installer, it is really simple fix.

On installation It place the plugin into a new folder in : program files/adobe/common/plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/WebM.prm

For CS6, it need to be placed in : program files/adobe/common/plug-ins/CS6 /MediaCore/WebM.prm

I copied the content of mediacore from 7.0 to cs6 and the option appeared in Premier on the next start.

Dont forger to copy the presets from the fnord softwere to the Premier preset forlder ( the instruction are in the text file in program files/ fnord software/ web for premiere / presets)

Once it is copy, It work perfectly in premier

I am still looking at how to make it work in adobe media encoder. .. still not showing up yet.

Ok, figured out for Adobe media encoder (Dont forget to copy the presets to media Encoder folder see previous post)

To add the encoder I had to manually edited the file in adobe/adobe media encoder cs6 / txt/ AddExporterList.txt ( it need admin access so copy to desktop, edit and copy back) You need to add to the list : Webn

Rebooted the softwere, and WebM is now added in the "Other" section of Media Encoder

Thanks for that - you're right in that the plug-in definitely needs to exist there and I tried that fix early on but it didn't solve my client's issue. Regarding Media Encoder, I also hit problems and found that both 32 and 64bit AME were installed but 32bit is called in preference in even by 64bit applications in a 64bit environment. The work-around was to rename the 32bit AME exe and replace it with a shortcut using exactly the same filename but that points to the 64bit AME exe. After that WebM was employed in AME both locally and remotely.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have followed the instructions here, did the presets, so on and that allowed the file type of webm appear, but the moment I select it, premier crashes. I can only assume there is a newer version of this plugin out now that breaks it for cs6 to work.
