We need a 'cool' (and pronounceable) name for the open source functions project. The name could be anything so feel free to brainstorm. Add your ideas as comments on this issue.

I would not think that would work at all as functions has 0 to do with k8's

We've had atomic/reactor themed suggestions but has anyone seen fission.io? It looks amazingly similar to our platform!

Well aware of fission.io, similar projects are kubeless and funktion

What about particles:

Tachyon (from Greek: tachy, meaning rapid)
Axion

Going back to minion, the synonyms on this page would make hilarious project names: bootlicker, toady. But flunky is close to funcy!

Added to spreadsheet F(x) -> FOX -> foks is West Frisian (Northern Netherlands) for fox echoing Werker spelling. foks.io available.
