Finally tracked this down :) I think there are two forms - one is eg. 10-Apr-26 which comes from the initial mongoose spreadsheet I used to stock the database, the other e.g. 2014-09-24 comes from the mongooses created by the tablets. I can't change this directly without access to the Pi, but I guess this is something to keep aware of when we import data next...
There are different formats for the date of births on different packs and on different tablets. This makes it quite confusing to interpret a DOB if they are not all in the classic DD-MM-YYYY and also to extract certain information (e.g. year of birth) from DOBs in different formats.
Can all DOBs displayed and recorded in the app be of the format DD-MM-YYYY (instead of YY-MMM-DD or YYYY-MM-DD as they are currently). Changing the date format in the central Settings of the tablet does not affect how the DOBs in the app are displayed.
