Try new version, this issue should be fixed in latest release.

kbarsotti commented 9 years ago

The latest release that I am seeing is v0.14.11.12 - the version on which I am experiencing the issue. Is there a newer release located elsewhere?

LeftyMouse commented 9 years ago

Also seeing this in 0.14.11.12 when I click on "Settings".

I reinstalled fallout NV and now I get this error:

See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

\ JIT Debugging ** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled.

For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Not having a clear/easy way of getting 0.14.11.13, even over a year later, doesn't help.

Tried to compile and that didn't work because I have VS2015, and the legacy DirectX SDK isn't installed on my system. This is a serious hassle to work around, but I already sunk 50 minutes into this, so I'll keep at it a bit longer and update here if I ever get it to compile. (if I don't, I don't guarantee any updates)

Update: and then it hit me that FOMM uses .NET4, and the Win7 SDK with .NET 4 doesn't recognize the version built into Win10 properly so it refuses to install the compilers anyways. At almost an hour in, having installed Win7 .NT 3.5 tools, and in the process of installing some of what I can of the Win7 SDK with .NET 4 it looks pretty hopeless

Update: Yeah, totally not working without VS2010. This is ridiculous and not worth wasting more than 70 minutes on.

I just installed FOMM 0.14.11.12 for the first time. I'm very new to modding and so far have had no trouble except that when I click on settings for Fallout 3 mods it gives me an error, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone found a solution? I would REALLY like to change my custom launch command (If there is no solution, can somebody give me instructions to do it manually)

I've tried using -setup, -no-uac-check (because it seems to be something with UAC) I've tried running as admin... using -setup i get a slightly different crash report, but I think it stems from the same bug.

With -setup

That caused both programs to crash out totally. But NMM has advanced quite some since then. ‎I guess it's nothing to do with that.  I hope you've tried running it *not* elevated, because I think that's how I ran it too. It would be nice to have some basic information about using Fomm with window 10.  It shouldn't be too hard to have it running. If you like, I could fire it up this evening and see what happens. I'd be surprised if it didn't work, but the install is still there. Also, you could try posting on STEP's FNV forums.Otherwise, good luck. ~bc From: MikeSent: Sunday, April 30, 2017 2:36 PMTo: foesmm/fommReply To: foesmm/fommCc: SubscribedSubject: Re: [foesmm/fomm] Crash When Selecting "Settings" (#29)Has anyone found a solution?
