FYI hmm is now available as a conda-forge package: https://github.com/conda-forge/cpp-hmm-feedstock To install it:

$ conda install cpp-hmm -c conda-forge

@fogleman please let me know if you want me to add you as a maintainer of the feedstock. Thanks for this great library!
