Did you check docs and existing issues?

Neovim version (nvim -v)

NVIM v0.9.2

Operating system/version

Debian 12

Describe the bug

When using a remap on a register ending with an operator like : "_d

Same happens using registers like "+y

Which key window fails to popup unlike when I am typing it manually.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Open init.lua file
  2. Set a keymap like this keymap.set({'v','n'}, "<leader>d", "\"_d",{ desc = "Void delete", noremap = true})
  3. load keymap
  4. which key will not popup on press

Expected Behavior

The operator window should popup even with register
