Spell checker #2

Is there a spell checker module?

pmackay commented 8 years ago

I think this would be handled by configuration in your browser and/or your operating system. Its not something we would add to OpenLocal directly.

@Fran-Uk where did you want the spell checker? If for creating news/events/forum then it is possible to enable it within the editor I think @pmackay?

Fran-Uk commented 8 years ago

Yes, creating news/events/forum would be ideal.

It looked possible as... https://www.drupal.org/project/spellchecker This module supports spell checking of node content (including title, body and CCK fields).

pmackay commented 8 years ago

Good spot. That module though does not have any releases and is quite old. There is a spell check button in the text boxes currently on the site, but it doesnt seem to be working. Probably would need some dev time to get it working properly.

I would question though whether your browser can just handle this? It was for me with a quick test. What do you feel Drupal will add?

I'm not the only person who is dyslexic, and my standard PC browsers don't automatically work in test CPneighbours form editor. Oddly they do in this github. So, it appears a Drupal issue, rather than a browser issue in IE v11.

Can we re-open this issue to check what's wrong?

OK have reopened this.
