Cleanup of unused code
allow pinch zoom
lato 2.0 will be bundled in 2.9.0 so removed lato 1.0 in docs

Q) What was an intention to include all static files in the repo instead of using CDN? Probably for offline support or for enterprise with strict network policy?

I actually cannot tell. But your ideas sound plausbile.
