Problems with sending text to fields

Steps to reproduce: 1) Open any PDF 2) Select some text, click Cloze -> Send to field -> Any field on the Selection menu 3) Text appears in the field as expected 4) Make a card, repeat steps 1 and 2 5) No text appears in the field

Additional info

This is on the latest version of the add-on
the Generate Cloze option works as expected
The shortcut send to field option that appears on the Selection menu next to Generate and send to field also doesn't work. This button doesn't do anything
All of these functions worked in previous versions of the add-on, as far as I can remember.

With the latest addon update, this bug has resurfaced. It looks to be fairly identical, with the Send to field option working initially but then no text appearing afterwards.

EDIT: I considered opening this as a new issue but the bug is very, very similar to the one I described before.
