Per fontforge/fontforge#4444, fontforge/fontforge#4439, and others; there is no reason not to use the AppImage. @probonopd has done a great job, let's celebrate his accomplishment and stop pulling our hair out over PPA stuff. I'm sure @frank-trampe is happy to be relieved of the responsibility anyway.
