Multiple selections and actions in data grid on media edit page (HTML backend) #102

it would be great if there was a way to batch process media items - e.g. if you want to delete several test items, or assign several items to a stage. in v2.1, you could do this by ticking check boxes beside the media item names in a list.

Doing multiple selections is not that easy to implement as a whole bunch of the underlying logic and process has to be modified.

Besides a possibility to do "multiple deletes" and "multiple assigns" what else should be batch processed?

nothing else is coming to mind; i suppose that sometimes i want to clear the text chat log on multiple stages (e.g. during the festival, after i've collected the logs) but that's a different thing & not very onerous to do one by one. for media items, bulk deleting would be the main one, then multiple assigns. we can live without it, of course - it's a "nice to have (back)" but not as important as most other things.

Ok, so this ticket is about the following:

the issue about the clearing the chat log on multiple stages is not related to this ticket and has to go to a new ticket then (it probably refers to the stage edit page)...

i think we can forget about it (batch clearing the chat log on multiple stages) since it is only something one would want to do very occasionally, & not difficult to do manually.

alright. please keep in mind that this ticket is not about the last things you wrote. so you can either open a ticket and write about that or just leave it as it is. it is just because otherwise there is too much unrelated information here. this means unnencessary reading when going through the tickets. we have to keep things as much clear and short as possible. thanks!
