Reason for this are inconsistent dimensions (width/height) of an avatar. For example if the first frame of a flash media is transparent there is (probably) a dimension of 0x0 pixels (or maybe 1x1 pixels). This causes the name label to be centered by that information and results in an overall unexpected position of the label.
today we noticed that some avatars uploaded today have their on-stage name label in the centre or somewhere on top of the avatar, instead of below as it normally is. this may be partly to do with the entire canvas size of the original .swf, in terms of being centred to the left or right, but that doesn't explain how it would come to be over the image.
This is a VERY MINOR issue.
