No way to have night mode without inverting colors? #575

When I read a book and turn on night mode so I can have a dark UI in the settings and a black background as I read, it inverts all the colors unless I reflow the PDF. I know this is a feature and I do like it for when I am reading a traditional book that look nice inverted, but there should an option to turn off color inversion while keeping dark mode for things such as comics that look bad inverted.

Unfortunately almost four years later users still encounter this. This is exactly what I was directly searching for online as a new user. It's frustrating that images cannot be exempted from the Night Mode inversion, I thought it would be intuitive and common-sense (tell me why a reader would want a full, illustrated book to have its pictures inverted)! I'm guessing that overall that this app's development is largely inactive, which is truly a shame due to the overall quality of the app. Many issues don't have replies or even one comment. This app is still one of the best overall on Android, it seems!
