I know this is an older issue but figured I comment my workaround for anyone else that may be having this issue.
A work around I found (which works fine for my use) was to create a folder under /storage/<external_SD_card>/Android/media/
titled com.foobnic.pro.pdf.reader
. Then set that as my download folder as well as my library folder to scan and I haven't had an issue since.
This was on Librera version 8.3.135 on Android 9.
Hello, I have e-books stored in external storage, namely
/storage/827C-94C8/Books
directory. If I add this path to theFolders to Scan
list, books are added to the library as intended. But if I pointDownloads
folders to the same path on external storage, then I can't download anything from online libraries (both public and my own Calibre OPDS catalog). I can browse catalogs but if I try to download a file, it fails. I cannot even create new directories on external storage using the built-in file manager. Is writing to external storage not supported at all? I'm using version 8.3.100, on Android 10 (MIUI 12.0.2).
